Hi Matt,
I have an iPhone 11 Pro, iOS Version 16.6.1. Interestingly, it works fine this morning (on both the app and the browser pop-up player), where yesterday it consistently stopped playing when the screen locked, or when I tried to do something else on the phone. I did turn the phone off over night, so maybe I should try this next time? It's just that I don't have this issue with any other player apps, e.g. Spotify.
The other thing I noticed yesterday when it did show the issue, the progress bar on the Replay I was trying to listen to got stuck, probably at the spot where the lock turned on, even though the Replay continued playing after unlocking the phone. It sometimes even showed the Play triangle, even though the file was playing. Pressing Play and Pause a couple of times usually got it back to normal behaviour, only until the next screen lock and it all started again.
Hope this helps, at least a little to resolve the issue. Happy to try other things :-)!

Also please could you go to https://live.realitycheck.radio/popup in your phone browser(safari or chrome), push play and lock your screen, what happens?

Matt: Hi, phone details - apple iphone 14, version IOS 16.7. Running the url above in safari browser, the live broadcast continues to play on lock screen. FYI, on lock screen you can stop play while on lock screen but cannot resume play.

Matt: that is on the safari player. Today on the the app live play, play times out after about a minute whether on lock screen or not.

Matt: Hi, yes you can email me, I am still having issues with the app. This morning for example I used the app, the first replay I listened to played in full without stopping when the phone locked, the second replay I listened to stopped everyone the phone locked.
